Welcome to our site. The Holland Bureau is a non-profit, non-ideological, at times non-sensical venture into the realms of commentary on international affairs. The central theme is the Netherlands, that small nation in the north-west of Europe which maintains a high presence in all things global: international economics, financial regulation, international law, managing climate change, oil and gas exploration, military operations, intelligence, development strategy, drug policies, the UN, the EU, NATO, you name it, the Dutch are there, and they are involved. With this as our starting point, we hope to broaden our scope over time to bring in other views from across Europe on the state of transatlantic relations and the emerging world order. The Bureau is the initiative of Giles Scott-Smith and Jesse Coleman. Scott-Smith is an academic based in Leiden and Middelburg. He researches and teaches in the fields of Cold War History, Intelligence History, Public Diplomacy, Transatlantic Relations, and International Relations. Coleman is a graduate of Roosevelt Academy, is based in Amsterdam, and is active in the development/environmental sectors. |
Nice to see some sensible comment in English on Dutch news and the Netherlands in relation to the rest of the world.
We’ve added a link to your site in our weblog collection on http://www.dutchnews.nl

Dear members of the Holland Bureau,
I am very interested in your initiative and would like to know a bit more then is presented in the about section, smile.
And I want to introduce myself a little bit. I am for more than 20 years an independent Dutch forensic intelligence analyst / FOIA/Wob-specialist / and since 2001 publisher of the Fringe journals. If you want more info visit my profile on Linked In or Facebook. I would like to welcome this bureau or one or more of its members as a free of charge subscriber to my biweekly journals.
I am now about to republish [with lots of attention for you as the source] your article on Davids.
All the best, Roger Vleugels
Do you have a newsletter? If so I should like to receive it. This site has an incredible amount of worthwhile information. I live in West Palm Beach, FL and have a small condo in Leiden. Lovely city.
